Harry Potter Studio Tour 2022 Lookback

Writer's picture: Leigh CraddockLeigh Craddock

I have recent been on a trip to the Harry Potter Studios and I wanted to share my experience with you.

I am a Harry Potter fan but I don’t agree with the views of the author. So don’t worry, I find it just as bad as you are but you can still enjoy it but still condemn the actions like I do with other problematic people that do stuff I often portray a character that I enjoy.

This was my second visit to the studios. I last visited 10 years ago in 2012 but what makes this one very exciting as I get to see the new additions.

I recently did the Photography a exhibition in Covent Gardens last year which was a wonderful experience and the Volunteers were helpful and explains stuff about the photos.

I went as part of a bus group and I really enjoyed it. I benefited from a lot more than last time.

I didn’t do the broomstick thing like I do last time but I did have a go at saying the magic world “UP” to allow the broomstick to rise as it did in the first film.

I visited a few things from last time like the Yule Ball costumes to Gryffindor Common Room to Dumbledore’s Office. Plus the rockeyty bridge to big sculpture of Hogwarts castle.

I want to go in detail to the three newest additions to the studio…

The Forbidden Forest was definitely a scary place. I did feel a bit scared, especially when the spiders came down and the special effects made it more real.

I queued to visit the Hogwarts train. You got to see set ups from the Hogwarts Express scene form throughout the years.

The last one was of Gringrotts. You got to see the various sets of Gringotss, including the damaged set after the Dragon’s escape . One surprising thing was when the Dragons comes out in front of you in an amazing projection screen.

I managed to buy a Gryffindor T-Shirt at the gift shop as I wanted to by a souvenir and I loved the design.

I personally enjoyed the trip as it was different but still the same magical experience.
