2022 has begun and I have already been impressed by a lot of stuf. Here are some fo my picks from January and February.

Mandip Gill Keeps Making History in the Whoniverse.

Mandip Gill is definitely the rising star of Doctor Who. Eve of the Daleks revealed that after a lengthy wait for Thasmin fans, she does have feelings for the Doctor. Matt Strevens has said that this wasn’t planned from the start and it was Mandip and Jodie Whittaker’s idea which has led to this history making feat. Matt has also said that the next two episodes will be covering the Doctor/Yaz romance.

The Rise Of The Book Of Boba Fett

The Book Of Boba Fett is definitely one of my favourite series. There is chemistry between Boba Fett and Fennec Shand which can be seen as friends, co,league sir even romance.

The Mandalorian and Grogu’s return is one of the highlights of the series. It’s so cute and Grogu in his armour is so cute.

History making weekend for 4 Olympians

Sunisa Lee, Jade Carey, Grace Mc Callum and Jordan Chiles scored a perfect 10 at the NCAA championships on the same week (31st January to 6 February), Sunisa, Jade and Grace did it on Bars whilst Jordan did it on Floor.

Jade (Floor), Jordan (Bars) and Sunisa (Beam) would also earn further tens in February.

Also 10’s from UCLA’s Chae Campbell, Minnesota’s Ona Loper, Mya Hooten and Lexy Ramler and Michigan’s Natalie Wojcik and Sierra Brooks.

Konnor Mc Clain’s Comeback

Konnor McClain came back to win the Winter Cup with a score of 54.300 with a 14.600 on Beam and with a layout on floor to keept things fine for her at the start of the elite season. The podium was rounded up with Skye Blakely who came back from an injury at Olympic Trials and eMjae Frazier who competed at the World Championships in 2021.

In the Junior competition, Ella Kate Parker reclaimed her title from last year, with Ella Murphy and Hezly Rivera joining her on the podium.

All medalists earnes spots to compete at the DTB Team Challenge in Stuttgart whixh will be feisty for Junior gymnasts.

Jea Maracha takes Welsh Title

Jea Maracha became Welsh AA Champion and was joined by Mali Morgan and Polly Stickler. Jea also took the Bara title whilst Mali won beam and Junior AA champion Ruby Evans claimed Vault and Floor Gold.

Nina Derwael Wins DWTS

Olympic Champion Nina Derwael continued her DWTS experience and went on to win the competition. One of her perfect scores was her Viennese Waltz in the semi finals.

Dutch 1,2 at Cottbus

Tisha Volleman won Gold on Uneven Bars at the Cottbus World Cup, her teammate Sanna Veerman finished with Silver. Tisha took an additional Bronze on Floor.

Daniela Batrona brought light to a difficult time to claim Beam Gold. Other champions were Tjasa Kysallef on Vault and Alba Petisco on Floor.

That’s some of my January and February highlights.
