Qualification
Larisa Iordache came back to qualify for Tokyo and despite a fall on beam. She still won her spot art Tokyo. She did qualify for beam with a fall and floor with a step out bounds but she withdrew from all her finals from a kidney infection.
Jessica Gadirova (GBR) was the surprise of the comp. Apart from a bad fall on beam, she went on to score one of the highest vault & floor scores of the comp.
Ana Filipa Martins (POR) made history on the Uneven Bars. Not online became the first Portuges to qualify but she became the first to have an element named after them.
Emma Slevin (IRE) became the first Irish female gymnast to qualify for the AA
All Around
Viktoria Listinova managed to come back with 4/4 to take Gold and the title, improvmg her Bars and Beam. Congratulations LISTY!
Angelina Melnikova started off well on vault but fell one of her releases on bars then a further fall on beam on her spin but came back on floor to seal a Silver.
I am proud of the bronze medalist Jessica Gadirova a who came back from a scary fall quals to improve her score to 55+.
Amelie Morgan finished 4th, also hitting 4/4 and after missing out in 2019, should be very proud of coming close to the medals. If she had recovered, she might have been the bronze medalist but it’s still a good achievement.
Elisabeth Seitz (GER) hit her routines to finish 5th in a stacked field.

Vault
Jessica Gadirova and Angelina Melnikova came back with a bang and hit all their vaults to finish 2nd or 3rd. They both performed the same vaults which were a DTY and a Lopez. Both of them scored the same for their DTY but Jessica scored a buit higher on her lopez whic in a close competition for Silver.
Giulia Steingruber came back with a bang after withdrawing from the All Around due to a muscle injury. She performed a amazing Rudi then it was a matter of what she would for her second vault where there she would upgrade from qualifying and she did a DTY to secure her Fourth Vault Title
Uneven Bars
Angelina Melnikova came back from her fall in the AA to win her first individual Gold since her surprise Floor title in 2017. It was a phenomenal performance,
Vladislava Urazova (RUS) finished second with a near perfect performance.
Amelie Morgan finished 3rd with a 14.100 with a consistent performance on Bars.
Balance Beam
Melanie De Jesus Dos Santos (FRA) won beam with a minor issue on her dismount whjch she still hit. She was consistent the beam.
Sanne Wevers (NED) put herself in contention to defend her Olympic title with improving her beam from Qualifying. It was very consistent and a joy to watch regardless of what was happening behind the scenes.
Anastasiia Bachynska (UKR) was the second reserve for the final and was brought in after Larisa withdrew &Marta Pihan Kuleza (POL) who was First Reserve was injured in the All Around. Anastasiia went on to rise to the challenge and hit her best routine in her 3 consecutive beam finals to finish 3rd.
Floor
Jessica Gadirova scored a hat trick of medals by going clean and becoming the second British women to win Gold on Floor after Beth Tweddle in 2019.
Angelina Melnikova fought back to win Silver after a step backwards on her first pass to become the most decorated athlete at these Championships.
2014 European Champion Vanessa Ferrari who sat out of the All Around manged to nearly hit her routine to win her first European medal since 2014.
